bichi - erobreren

tobias is back with his first ep for cactus island after the exclusive track “It begins” which we featured on the "brittle behaviour" compilation back in 2007. “erobreren” features five expertly crafted slices of crispy bichiness, baked to perfection from his own unique recipe. moving melodies underpinned throughout by complex,up-tempo beats and glitches make this A+ music for discerning electronic music fans looking for something fresh and healthy at a reasonable price during the economic decline

we're back!

welcome back! we’ve been away for a while doing that “real life” thing whilst applying some time to a restructure here on the island. a few changes (..which you’ve probably noticed already):

a new site – we’ve had the decorators in and jazzed the place up a bit. we’ve kept it clean and simple as always as well as adding some essential features such as a better page layout for releases and an rss feed to help you keep up to date with news from the island.

a new shop - you can now purchase your essentials directly from our back catalogue and future releases ranges in digital DRM-free FLAC or MP3 format as well as straw donkeys and sombreros (no!, not really!)

something you may not yet have noticed is that we no longer offer releases on CD. we’ve taken this decision due to the costs involved in producing low volume runs of both the ep’s and albums, coupled with the downward trend in sales of CD’s generally over the last few years. oh, and not forgetting the fact that they were, you know... limited ;) ... so now everyone can enjoy our releases digitally by buying online. back to work then!....

to declare the island back open for business we’ve got the new maps and diagrams album - "smeg" (we can assure you it sounds better than you think it smells!....) backed up by the marvellous new bichi ep (which we’ve been itching to release for months!)
